submitted by Sunny Pai, Roslindale, MA, October, 2007

Ingredients

  • Find a good game to watch on TV.
  • Prior to gametime, buy a big loaf of Italian bread.
  • Carefully slice in half lengthwise.
  • Toast lightly. Spread bottom half with butter or mayo.
  • Mix ground turkey with McCormick's Montreal Chicken seasoning and a little Worcestershire sauce.
  • Shape turkey into about three burgers to fit on the bread, but about the size of a George Foreman grill.
  • Grill burgers on George Foreman grill (this is the way it was traditionally done in our olden days).
  • Top with provolone cheese.
  • Top with sliced tomatoes and lettuce and pickles.
  • Spread top half of bread with homemade guacamole (chopped scallions, lime juice, green Tabasco, stir, add avocado and mash with potato masher).
  • Assemble and slice crosswise to serve.
  • Eat with lots of your friends!

Instructions

My old roommate / best friend and I used to make a giant turkey burger when we had people over to watch a big game on TV. We used to joke that we could eat one ourselves in one sitting (we couldn't). Thus the inspiration for the picture, that I thought of as soon as I read the mission on your site!
